In 2022 we decided to focus our summer research on the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) of 2 Icelandic Raw Materials : Wood and Wool. This project aims to analyse the data collected and provide significant information to those working in the industry so we can help reduce CO2 emissions from Icelandic raw material production and make them more circular. Research in partnership with Hringrásarsetur Íslands and Hanskolin Íslands for the research.
This is the first year of this research project
In December 2020, Seyðisfirður, a city in the East of Iceland, was hit by a devastating landslide. The Tækniminjasafn (Technology Museum) was mostly destroyed, together with its collection. In partnership with the University of Lincoln and the Tækniminjasafn team, we have been able to bring 8 students to help with the conservation and restoration of the museums collection.
This is the first year of this conservation/restoration project.
